Canada is filled with so many restaurants across the country. While each one are distinct by theme, meaning you’re not gonna get pizza from a sushi restaurant, every restaurant aims towards the same objective: to serve customers with delicious food and hope to God they’ll like it and come back for more. Like many people on this forsaken rock ravaged by political greed, war, and whatnot, I’ve been to many restaurants, such as Congee Wong, Dragon Legend, Mandarin, Happy Sushi, Red Lobster, Wasabi, etc. Aside from Wasabi, the food served in these restaurants are particularly good and I recommend anyone to visit these restaurants.
Anyways, I’ve come forth to say that I didn’t visit any of these restaurants for this particular blog. The reason is to save money, of course. I mean, my dad has already spent money on both a medium pizza and medicine yesterday, as well as paying up for 2 upcoming field trips that I’ll be attending (along with 2 others) earlier this morning. Asking him to spend more again for the sake of this assignment is asking for trouble. Anyways, enough talk of money, let’s get down to business!
As you can see, the picture above is what I had for lunch. It’s a plain rice dish filled with spam meat, sliced pickles, shrimps, and pork tenders, that I all ate at home. It was alright. It wasn’t exactly the greatest meal I’ve ever had, but it certainly wasn’t complete garbage. My dad’s a decent cook, so anything he serves me on a daily basis is tolerable at best. The smell and taste were nothing special, as the rice, spam meat, and pickles were basically leftovers usually kept in the fridge (with the exception of the shrimps and pork tenders, as they were just cooked). Usually with rice dishes, I eat with a spoon because using chopstick to pick up not just the rice, but meat and vegetables too can get really tedious REALLY fast. This meal was no different, as you can OBVIOUSLY tell from the picture. I had this meal with water because the food sometimes got stuck in my throat as I was eating, so a good sip helped get it down; no need for choking, am I right? Overall, there’s not much else to talk about this dish. It’s just another rice dish I had on this gloomy weekend, nothing more and nothing less.
